ok, so I suppose that is a problem with DC8.01 that I was using

Jesus,

 

Option 1:

On the PIC, look for a setting called "idle state for transmit".  Change it
to low.

As long as it is high the Rabbit serial port thinks it is getting a start
bit

 

Option 2:

On the rabbit you MIGHT be able to set the receiver to look for a rising
edge instead of a level.

Hi,

                I'm trying to send some bytes from a Microchip Pic to a
Rabbit2000 via UART with TTL levels. What I get in Rabbit is that bytes but
also continuously I get the 0xFF byte. The TTL level from PIC's TX pin is OK
(5V in idle time), what's wrong? Any hint?
