all,

after receiving my roku last week, i am now an enthusiast. i have been
downloading and puchasing high res content by the droves, and am really
enjoying watching HD .ts files of sample content (lots of flowers and shrubs
so far).

does anyone here know of any good sources to download (or purchase!) HD
scenery clips, preferrably in .ts format? am i correct in assuming that .ts
is a "native" file format for the hd1000? on that note, what other HD video
formats does the roku support natively, or otherwise?

on a more technical note, a few issues i have encountered:

1) my hd1000 requires somewhat frequent rebooting, rarely can it go the
night in slideshow mode, and never has it lasted more than a few hours
playing the "aquarium" mpeg that comes with the art pack. i have tried
playing the content off of different media, and have had varied results --
the best being compact flash thus far. i am running OS version 1.5.18, which
i understand is the most current version. is there anything i can do to
enhance stability?

2) can an external hard drive be connected to the roku? if so, what
configuations and hardware have people had success with? is this
configuration "stable"? is it "faster" than compact flash?

3) i cannot get my hd1000 on my wireless network, i am using the supplied
d-link USB adapter provided from rokulabs.com. my wireless network (DHCP)
and router are in tip top shape and there is "excellent" coverage where the
hd1000 is located. any ideas? (if need be, i will use a crossover cable and
an access point -- but if that is indeed necessary, what is the recommended
setup and hardware?)

i thank you in advance and also apologize for my lack of experience. i hope
to become a helpful contributing member to this forum once i get more roku
hours logged.

kindly,
