RE: Roku and Autosensing Component / Digital Audio Switch

Adam, I've been working with Audio Authority in regards to this issue and here's
what AA has had to say:

I really wonder if your customers aren't really seeing a bug that we are working
on. The 1154 is sensitive to EMI. This EMI sensitivity causes the 1154 to jump
from the selected input to a different input for a short period of time. The
1154 will then jump back to the original selection. We are about to release the
1154A to cure this EMI problem. The 1154A also has DIP switches that allow you
to disable different levels of sensing to eliminate the problem of two devices
on at the same time.

It sounds like this may be what your experiencing.  It makes some sense since
the HD1000 by design should not output any signal when off.  We haven't seen any
evidence to indicate that we've got a bug lingering somewhere that could cause
this -- no spurious sync pulses or audio carrier.  Perhaps contact AA and see
what they have to say (maybe you could upgrade to the 1154A).  However, if the
problem is consistent, predictable and reproducible, then there could be a
problem with the HD1000.  Right now it does sound like the most likely suspect
is the known bug with the switcher.
