zephyr> What files can I edit on my Roku HD-1000 to assign a name to zephyr> the machine? Name resolution takes place on the client, which in this case I assume is your desktop workstation. This means you need your workstation to either resolve names via DNS or via some host-local file (/etc/hosts on linux, I think maybe lmhosts on windows). Either way, there's nothing to be done on the HD1000. Configuring your DNS server to resolve the name for you depends on what you use for a DNS server. Dave
