This sounds like flakey hardware to me  It could be the HD1000 but my 
instinct is that it's one of the Netgear units.  (I have no connection 
to Roku other than being a satisfied HD1000 customer)  In other 
situations I've had network hardware  with intermitant failures drive me 
crazy. If the Netgear units are new, try returning them for replacments. 
If not, you have to find a way to borrow replacements for testing 
purposes.  Good luck.
