So what's up with SoundBridge

Like some of the good folks who have posted about the bad review given the Roku, I have been a little disappointed with the device. But unlike perhaps a few, I fully knew I was buying a version 1.0 device, and trust that eventual software upgrades will make it worthwhile. For the moment, my Roku is "shelfware", sitting in my media rack awaiting the eventual combination of improved software and my time and attention to turn it into the highly effective media hub I know it will one day be. I am willing to be patient, although I had hoped for more use early on. Another issue is the drop in price, and the offer to us early adopters for a discount on the Soundbridge. While this offer does help salve my feelings at the price drop shortly after I blew my $500, since the Soundbridge seems to still be vapor, I have not as yet chosen to take advantage of the offer. It has an unappealing flavor of tossing good money after bad. So after all that rambling, I get to my central question. When does the offer expire? I ask because I do not wish to spend the money for a soundbridge until I see it shipping and get at least a few early reports from end users. With the delays in shipping, the timeframe keeps extending, and I am starting to worry that by the time the unit actually ships, and a few user reports surface so much time will have elapsed that Roku will no longer honor the discount offer. I am not complaining about the unfinished aspects of the Roku. I knew I was an early adopter, and am willing to be patient, especially as I see all the good activity going on here on this list. I just don't want to buy another vapor product too soon in it's lifecycle, nor do I wish to wait too long and lose the discount. However, if the Soundbridge really meets my needs I will want several for distributed music thruout the house. So will Roku promise to keep the early adopter discount offer alive until some minimum amount of time after the Soundbridge is in the stores? Say 90 days at least, time for some reviews to make it. Indefinitely would be even better ;) Cheers, Nathan
