Cripes - looks like I almost started a holy war! :) I must say it's reassuring to see that the problems encountered by the reviewer do not seem to be shared by the majority of respondents, and I'm sure that this amount of discussion on the product's flaws can only be a healthy thing. If memory is indeed a limiting factor, would it be possible to revise the design to support user upgradeable memory? It could potentially lengthen the product's life cycle, and expand the possibilities for custom modules. The remote seems to be another common complaint - an unresponsive remote can certainly be a frustrating thing. Considering that the key goal of the user is likely to be "to relax and feel comfortable", surely it makes sense to try make this as easy as possible to achieve. Would it be fair to say that a significant proportion of Roku customers are either technically skilled end users, or system integrators working on behalf of their clients? An important product feature for these groups is the level of support for programmable remotes and control systems, from $10 "universal remotes" to top end home automation systems. The extent of Roku's technical support for this is extremely encouraging, and serves only to make me even more keen to get my hands on an HD1000! Well done Roku! Cheers, -h
