I had (and still have) the same problem. If you are using a wi-fi card
(usb), try rebooting without the wi-fi in , then plug the wi-fi card once
you are up. It's a pain in the ass but it works.

I had a similar experience and solved it by reinstalling the Roku OS.
Download the
latest OS and rename it to formatup.rok and boot it from a flash card.
It'll wipe all
your settings, shares, passwords, but it solved my eternal boot problem.

My HD1000 was behaving erratically, for example,
taking forever to load a picture off of a SMB share
(my PowerBook G4 running Panther).
So I decided to reboot it. It is now hanging on reboot.

The Busy light keeps flashing like something is going on
-- but the machine does not go into normal
mode. It just hangs on the black background
"ROKU: Loading Roku OS" screen.

Any thoughts?
