Re: Playlists

It would depend on how your music is organized (into folders).

For example, my music is in folders by Artist -> Album.  If I want to 
play all the music by an artist, I can select the Artist folder and 
press play.  It then plays all the music contained within that folder 
and its subfolders.

The .m3u format seems to be much as you describe.  The ones my iTunes 
script generates also have the few information lines at the top:

Bob Wiseman\In By Of\01 All The Trees.mp3

Bob Wiseman\In By Of\02 Me An Arrow.mp3

Bob Wiseman\In By Of\03 Airplane On The Highway.mp3
