With two different source DVD players (Panasonic with two different outputs, one for 480i and the other 480p; the other a SONY with "auto" switching output, the monitor works fine. With a third, older Pioneer player with "switchable" 480i or 480p, the monitor displays "no signal". This same Pioneer plays to a Panasonic plasma just fine. Hence the question.
