Roy,

Thanks. No better way to test it than to have a bunch of users banging
it.

On a related topic, I've used 1.03 for a few weeks. It's a fun program.
I'm impressed with what you've created. Based on my use, here are a few
usability issues I would like to point out/add to a wish list. My wife
and 10-year-old have used it and raised some of these. My son's pretty
good with technology, but my wife needs serious help. She's a great
tester - if it can be broken, she'll find a way:

Wish List Items:
- It would be great to see the song name & artist "L.A. Women - The
Doors" listed on the Now Playing upcoming screen. This would also apply
to the Song listing screen. There are times when I think I know what I'm
picking, but it's another artist.
- It would be nice if the screen had an indication of what button to
push & maybe some feedback. As an example, I know to push the left
button to get back to the previous menu, but my wife gets lost. It could
just be a "Left Arrow" with the work "Previous Menu" or something like
that. Tivo's interface would be a good guide.
- When adding artists to the playlist, it defaults to add all the songs
from the artist. I always scroll down the view the individual songs. It
might just be me, but I would love it if it defaulted to the songs.
Another possibility would be displaying all songs from an artist sorted
by album.
- When viewing lists, it would be great to search by letters be
selecting preset ranges (i.e. A-E, F-J, K-O, etc.). MusicMatch using
this as a quick way to find artists in the large collection. You could
also possibly use the number keys of the remote to quickly get a range
like a cell phone (i.e. 1 = All, 2 = ABC, 3 = DEF, 4 = GHI, etc.) (I've
programmed my learning remote to replace the Roku remote).
- In Now Playing, it would be great to be able to restart the current
song by hitting the back/left/rewind button.
- If I modify the Music folders with MusicMatch (i.e., updating ID tags)
the program can get pretty squirrelly. I've tried the Rescan, but it
doesn't force an entire rescan, just a partial. I've found that if I
delete the data files it will force a rescan and then it's OK.

That's enough rambling. Those were just a few things that pop to mind
when I think of your program. Keep up the great work. It's a great
program and fun to use. I have spent more time listening to music lately
just due to your program.

Sincerely,

I'll do one better. I've updated the zip file with v1.0.4a which
includes a
fix for the scanning crash. One very small careless bug that caused a
lot
of pain.

You can download it again at http://portlover.com/jukebox.roku/
