FLAC status for HD1000

I'm curious what the status of adding different lossless codecs to the HD1000 
is - specifically, FLAC.  I prefer a video interface to a VFD one, so I'd 
prefer to get an HD1000 versus one of the Soundbridges - but all of my music, 
all 1200 albums+ of it, is in FLAC, not mp3.  It all resides on a Win2k server 
in my garage on a 480 GB RAID5.

If there's any plan to put FLAC support on the HD1000, and if it will play back 
those tracks gaplessly (live albums, for example) then I'll purchase one 
TODAY.  If any help is needed getting FLAC support on the HD1000, please let me 
know what I can do to help.  I authored the Perl Audio::FLAC module used for 
tagging in the Slimserver code, so I know my way around the format pretty 
well. ;)
