Jeff- I'll tell you how I solved this problem, though perhaps a bit awkward for the average user. I have a wireless laptop in my viewing room that I use for multimedia control. On it I run a remote desktop of the server. I then serve my files via VLC. This arrangement allows me to freely position to any point in the video file I'm watching (usually HDTV TS). Actually I find it easier to control things this way than using OSD's and the remote control. The only thing I don't like about this arrangement is that if I pause VLC, CinemaSix shuts down. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeff James Sent: Sunday, July 11, 2004 8:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Roku-tech] TiVo functionality in TS/DVD playback I would love to be able to watch an HD TS file of stream a DVD off my HD and be able to hit a button to go back xx seconds like TiVo does.
