Kevin, This is an interesting idea. DVArchive requires a .ndx and .evt file in addition to the .mpg for it to successfully import the .mpg file. These can be dummy files, but they may need to have something in them. I'll give it a try tonight to see if it works. One possible other problem is the rtv:// streaming in CinemaSix does some reinterleaving of the audio and video packets, in order to get decent lip sync when playing the ReplayTV generated MPEG files. This may mess up the playback of .vob files streamed through DVArchive.
