Gidday all. I have been playing around with an HD1k for a couple of weeks now, and this is certainly a very nice piece of kit. One of my (and many other users') key goals will be to play DVDs across the network, with full support for menu navigation, and DVD selection via cover art thumbnails. Essentially, the sort of thing one gets with Kalidascape and the like (www.kaleidescape.com), but without the $40K+ price tag. CinemaSix is well on it's way to achieving this level of performance - give it a fast enough network connection and a fast HDD at the other end, and you can get your DVD playing nicely on the Roku. However, you still need to know how to navigate through a list of VOB files, and (as far as I can tell) you don't get the menus or alternative audio and video tracks. Are there plans to incorporate this sort of functionality into CinemaSix? Alternately, could another application take on the role of DVD cover art selection, with IMDB support and the like, then launch CinemaSix to do the actual playback job? Congratulations to everyone involved in the Roku development scene - this is a fantastic product which can make a huge impact on the home entertainment market. Cheers, -h
