You need to edit /etc/smb.conf

Here is an example of what I added to mine.  The roku sees "music" and 
"video"

[video]
    path = /Volumes/Video/
    public = yes
    only guest = no
    writable = yes
    printable = no

[music]
    path = /Volumes/Music/
    public = yes
    only guest = no
    writable = no
    printable = no
