Component Video Pass Through

Does anyone know the pass-through capability of the HD1000?

I want to hook up something to it, but I want to make sure it supports up to 
1080i first.  I had read somewhere that it the pass-through only supported 
480i.  Anyway, I just want to make sure: does the component-in on the HD1000 
degrade the signal at all, or will it just pass the signal through without 
loss?
