Note that the source of these DTS files are DTS CD's.  DTS CD's are 
when ripped to AIFF files and played back to a DTS decoder are 
recognized and decoded.

Not only the Airport Express works, but also the Roku HD1000!  Anything 
that does not manipulate the bits but passes the raw AIFF data to the 
digital output should work fine.  That implies that even at 100% 
volume, the Soundbridge is changing the bits.  It also implies that 
AIFF data from normal AIFF files is not making it through unaltered.  I 
guess I could capture the output with a digital audio input card and 
compare it to the original aiff to try to figure out what is changing 
but you would probably be better equipt to analyze that.

I had communication with Patrick over this but it was wired, 2000 in 
the playlist, latest versions of iTunes/MacOS X (well latest as of 6 
hours ago, 10.3.4).

Sounds reasonable.

Thinking the "double-click" metaphor helps, I'm sure I'll get used to 
it.

That would be great.  I just don't like having to hear the same first 
song every time or having to automatically press "next track" after 
starting the list.
