slow SSD write performance on the 6501

Hello all,

We are using solid state disks on the 6501, both as mSATA and normal SATA.
These are the models that we have tried:
 	MUSHKIN MKNSSDAT60GB-V (mSATA)
 	MUSHKIN MKNSSDCR60GB-7 (SATA)
 	Intel 320 40GB (SATA)

Read performance is great, we see 150MB/s, but write performance is
limited to 20MB/s regardless of which SSD or interface type that we use.

This is evident in all of the kernels we have tried, including the
stock CentOS 6.6 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64 and 3.14.x.

Is 20MB/s really the maximum write performance of the SATA bus? If not,
what might be the issue?
