We are now running 5.0.8. OK, that's definitely too old for libusb-1.0 :) > Are there any problems to upgrade to v. 7.x? You'll probably be best served to upgrade to v6.x first -- migrations across as wide a gap as v5.x -> v7.x often won't work well. I think archive.debian.net should serve as an apt source for this. But once that's done, a dist-upgrade from v5.x -> v6.x, a reboot, and then a dist-upgrade to v7.x should work fine. (At least, I've got continuously-upgraded Debian boxes which have been upgraded from a point far older than that -- though they never had to jump across such a gap at any point.) -- NULL && (void)
