The first net6501 I fixed is still working fine, I never saw the RLOD again. The second one has been fixed too but the story is a bit more troubled. As the board was given for dead, I tried to replace the two SMD 680uF e-caps near the CPU with two 820uF ones, like those on the fixed board. I did so because I had those at hand, I didn't really hope to fix it. After powering the board, one of the two ICs near the e-caps lost its magic smoke. Later, a friend of mine with better soldering skills (and a hot air station) replaced it, and the board came back to life. It is still working and did never show the RLOD again. Paride
