In 64k converted coco , the old grey ghost, there was a command called 
dos you could install, but that was part of basic by the advent of the 
white versions. I think.  Some where about that time os9 went from 5 
byte named includes to 8 byte and dos was on that install disk for os9 
1.010000 which the shack sold for $29.95, but they gave it to me as it 
never sold.  That began a 2 decade long learning experience for me. Code 
wise, the 6809 plowed a lot of virgin dirt. Between the RCA 1802 and the 
Hitachi 6309 I did some great work with at various tv stations from the 
1978's onward.  Work that helped make the station I worked for the #1 
station in that market.  I've owned 1 windows machine in all those 
years, for about 2 weeks, then because the windows 95 drivers could not 
run the radio in that HP lappy, Mandrake could, but before that I built 
a linux box when red hat was at 5.0, in 'late 97.
