Did I somehow forget CoCo BASIC supported printing CHR$(12) to clear the screen? I could have sworn in my old BBS programs, I always put in stuff like this:

CLS:PRINTCHR$(12)”WELCOME TO THE BBS”

…so it would clear the local screen, then send a 12 out the modem for the remote to clear screen with.

Confirmed looking at my ancient tape based BBS program:

460 CLS:PRINTCL$"Message Titles:":A=0

Odd I didn’t know that back then.

Unrelated — I see back then I printed CHR$(12) and CHR$(14) to remote users. I wonder which computer needed the 14, back then, when standards were plentiful and different.
