I don't know how to answer whether you think something is garbage or not.

But, there is a way to judge for yourself.

Take a look at the SuperBASIC site and you can download the bits from the
author and see examples of the pre-processor code and the result.

If nothing else, you may find some inspirations for your HDBDOS 16K project
there.

The print book itself is 30 pages with introduction to the tool, introductions
to major features of the preprocessor and its specific syntax, and a reference
section.
