Toolshed "os9 copy" and preserving file dates

This post is about the toolshed “os9” utility which copies files to and from OS-9 disk images. From looking at files I copied this way, the date seems to be the date of copy. Is it feasible to have the tool create files on the host system (Mac, PC, Linux) and use the dates that where in the OS-9 file system?
