I ran a BBS (RiBBS) for many years here in Aus. Had 3 floppies and 2 hard drives connected to it and still used it for every day stuff and games while RiBBS was running in the background, come to think of it, I can't remember it ever crashing either. Still amazes me what that machine was capable of with the limited resources it had compared to today's stuff.
