I wrote my virology master's thesis on the CoCo3. When I was in the vaccine
industry, my boss let me buy one to run an instrument that collected
antibody data. I just had to write a BASIC09 module to parse the RS-232
port on the instrument and it would collect 96 values at a time (0.000 to
2.000). Then I'd import it into DynaCalc or another BASIC09 app that I
wrote to do t-tests. It saved hours of time and ensured accuracy of the
data.
