(Yes, I still believed in it at 7 yrs old. I'm on the 40++ age-group). On Dec 26 I got my screwdriver and opened it to see how it worked. Luckily, my father could fix it (give me some points, I opened it carefully). I spent many hours writing programs in BASIC, saving and loading from tape. Actually what inspired me to learn English (I'm portuguese-speaker) was the ability to read the assembly programming manuals and play Mark Data Productions' text adventure games. I used it until my mother sold it, "so I could go out to play in the playground more often". After years of intense begging for another computer I was asked if I wanted an MSX (which was the fashion at the time). No, I asked for a second hand CoCo 2, which I still have with me today in working condition. I wanted a CoCo 3, but none were available in Brazil at that time. It was only 13 years ago I bought a CoCo 3 (one of the last with Cloud-9 pedigree!), which still runs with a CoCoSDC, an MPI, a MiniIDE, two deluxe Joysticks and an RGB2VGA for "modern" video. A Computer Engineering degree and 20 years working in IT (not anymore!), a Computer Engineering degree and 20 years working in IT (not anymore!) still make it my most beloved computer.
