msp430/bin/ld: internal error emsp430.c 123 while linking with -T option

Hi,
I switched the operating system (and thus the msp430-gcc version from
4.6.3 to 4.7.0 and the rest of the toolchain) and now my program
cannot be linked.

I have downloaded the toolchain
http://xpg.dk/files/File/msp430/msp430-toolchain-linux-i386-2.1.tar.bz2
If I don't use the  -T msp430.x option the linking proceeds ok.

What is the rootcause of the issue, where can I find any logs of what
went wrong?
