I appreciate the offer for a private patch, but this feature needs to be upstream and on trunk as well as the release branch. FWIW, I'm unable to find the sources for msp430-130423-317 as delivered in CCS6 on http://www.ti.com/tool/msp430-gcc-opensource. If any TI folks are still here, that really ought to be addressed.
