Thanks for the insight.  I had not heard this, but it probably explains why
the new 300 GB drives exhibited false write failures and the 120 GB drives
are just slow and unreliable.  It sounds like bigger is more of a problem.
I had figured bigger, was newer, and was better.

Can you give me a user group link where I might get additional insight?

I was also interested in the NSLU2 but was concerned about the large drive
problems.
I was reading some of the user group comments on the unit, even with Maxtor
drives,
they were saying the any drives greater than 80 GB are unreliable.

This may be why you are having problems with the 300 and 120 GB (soon)

Kind of and oversight on Linksys's side of things
