Re: AudioTron & NAS (specifically Linksys NSLU2)

Paul,

Warranty-breaking is no problem, but my read of the changes to the NSLU2
indicate that for sub-one-second power interruptions, the modification
fails.  The person posting that caveat said he was using only a flash drive,
and possibly using disk drives would draw more power and cause reboot with
very short power interruptions.

I will make the hardware mod, as it will at least allow me to use an
external timer to power on/off the NSLU2 as well as the attached disks.  If
the NSLU2 (the Linux development group refers to the NSLU2 by its pet name,
the "Slug") rides through short power fails with disks attached, I'll report
that here and on the www.nslu2-linux.org site.

I greatly appreciate the ideas and links here.
