        Great Points Andrew...  And clearly this isn't for everyone but
for those that might be interested...

-       It does hog the CPU and it will always be pegged at 100%, I was
just talking about the responsiveness of the system to while I'm using
it, if your concerned about the additional power or pegging your CPU
then this isn't for you...
-       As for the internet bandwidth it seems negligible to me as it
downloads what it needs then runs the program, it doesn't require full
time access to the internet, but you are right again there will be
downloads and uploads...
-       As for what they are processing no I don't know nor could anyone
really prove it, IBM does sponsor this particular program and I think
that its safe to assume (IMHO) that what they would support would have
to be what they publicize as the negative publicity alone wouldn't be
worth the cost, especially where they are trying to push the whole
concept of Grid Computing...

Just a heads up on these programs (like etc)...

While they appear to be good, they do a few things that isn't brought to
your attn by them.

- They hog your CPU, even on the 'low' settings. This causes the CPU to
work hard and causes more heat and more power to be used, as the CPU
can't sleep. So working out power usage, assume higher cause of it.
While low means low, it still uses all 'spare' CPU cycles, and this is
the same as pegging the CPU.

- They use internet bandwidth to gather data and send results, something
you should be aware of.

- Do you REALLY know what they are processing?? (really do you?)
