This is kind of the approach I was going to take (when building a new machine...which is in the 2005 plan...)...500 GB Raid + 500 GB mirror, plus a 500 GB backup. Seems like a good way to go as a media server (i.e. using the Happauge card with PVR capability)...

Glen -- You might want to check out the terabyte (1000GB) Buffalo
TeraStation (once they officially appear in the US). I'm using the
current Buffalo NAS (LinkStation) to serve up 160GB of storage (though
they also have 250GB and 300GB models).
