Bill, I have an NSLU2 serving AT MP3 files. Mine has two 120 GB Maxtor drives. Previously I had two brand new 300 GB Maxtor drives on it, and while they worked for a while, they both were reported as un-writable by the NSLU2. There is no way to diagnose them when connected to the NSLU2, because they must be reformatted in the NSLU2's file system. They reformatted without error under Windows NTFS, and I figured that there was some NSLU2.Maxtor 300 incompatibility. In my opinion, the NSLU2 is slow - but good enough to never cause the AT a problem. It occasionally (every couple of weeks?) locks up, and must be reset. Any one using a larger drive with it? My collection is quickly approaching 60 GB and I would expect that I will hit the 80 GB mark over the next year. On another note, there are a lot of sites that document how to reload the device with a version of Linux, any one have experience with that? Easy, hard?
