Also/But, if you get subjectively 'good' sound from other input sources (CD/DVD) with your current setup, then Andy is correct, an external DAC is a great upgrade. When I changed my setup from a mediocre built-in DAC to a high-end Burr/Barr DAC, the difference in sound quality from MP3's on the Audiotron was stunning.
