I use a Harmony 659 remote to control most of my home theater equipment and
love it.  I don't like the lack of macro programming but the remote works
pretty well and was easily used by my wife to boot!  There is a pretty large
user group and forum for help through the website (now hosted by Logitech)
and there are ways to upload your music collection titles to the remote so
you could directly select titles.  However, keep it mind that memory is
limited and there is no 2-way communication to keep everything in sync.
