Has the whole story.  I have both a regular and HD Directv tivo box. Work
fine but I don't use HDMI for HD as all
the gear is in basement rack so I use component hookup (already wired) and a
autosense switch for DVD, Tivo, etc.  It appears that Directv may
abandon tivo with their own box when they change HD signal to mpeg4 from
mpeg2.
