>>>If so, I'm still going to need to figure out a way to synchronize the Argosy database with the master copy on my desktop computer -- I had been using a program that synchronized things based on file timestamps, but since the Argosy overwrites the timestamps when you copy a file to it I'm going to need another solution. ========================== Regarding synchronization software... I'm sure everyone has their own favorite, but I have had extremely good luck with a product called Vice Versa from TGRMN Software at http://www.tgrmn.com/. They have two versions, and I use the Plus version, as I don't need the capabilities of the Pro version. It provides MANY different synchronization methods, and can be configured to use the archive bit as well as timestamps, CRC, etc. I use it from two computers to sync music with my Tritton NAS, and have had no problems. It also has a command prompt interface, so I created a CMD file that allows myself and my son to click on one icon and have the synchronization take place automatically, quietly in the background. Check it out. Bob
