ContinuumOps: DevOps for the Edge–Cloud Continuum
Workshop @ IEEE NCA 2026
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your work to the workshop:
ContinuumOps: DevOps for the Edge–Cloud Continuum
to be held in conjunction with IEEE NCA 2026 (Network Computing and Applications Conference).
Overview
The Cloud Continuum is emerging as a transformative paradigm that integrates edge, cloud, and device-level infrastructures into a unified and adaptive computing ecosystem. This shift enables applications to dynamically adapt across heterogeneous environments, optimizing for latency, cost, resilience, and energy efficiency.
However, this paradigm introduces significant challenges in how systems are designed, developed, deployed, and operated. Traditional DevOps approaches struggle to cope with issues such as:
* Highly heterogeneous infrastructures and service models
* Dynamic workload placement and mobility
* Intermittent connectivity and partial failures
* SLO/SLA enforcement in distributed environments
* Observability and reproducibility across the continuum
ContinuumOps aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore novel DevOps methodologies, tools, and architectures for Cloud Continuum environments.
