CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
ACM ISS 2026

We invite proposals for workshops at ACM ISS 2026.

Workshops are independently organized half-day or full-day events that take place before the main ISS conference. They provide an opportunity to bring together researchers, practitioners, and students for focused discussion, community building, and the exploration of emerging topics in interactive surfaces and spaces.

We welcome workshop proposals on topics relevant to the ISS community, including but not limited to:
   • Emerging research directions in interactive surfaces and spaces
   • Innovative AI technologies and their impact on ISS
   • New methods, tools, and applications
   • Design innovations and ISS practice
   • HCI education
   • Ethical, security, and privacy considerations

Each workshop should offer a clear motivation, an engaging format, and a plan for fostering discussion, interaction, diversity, and community building.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Workshop proposal deadline: July 22, 2026

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis upon receipt, with all reviews finalized within two weeks and no later than August 7, 2026.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Workshop proposals should be up to 6 pages, excluding references, and must use the single-column ACM manuscript template. Submissions are not anonymous.
