CFP - ISMAR 2026 workshop: Collaborative XRTransitions

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for our forthcoming Collaborative XRTransitions Workshop: The First International Workshop on the Multiple Dimensions of the Transitions in Collaborative eXtended Reality, to be held in conjunction with ISMAR 2026 in Bari, Italy.

The Collaborative XRTransitions ISMAR workshop aims to explore the multiple dimensions of the transitions between collaborative situations in extended reality. This workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in transitions in single-user or collaborative cross-reality systems, fostering discussions on interaction techniques, user experience, system design, and applications that enable efficient transitions along the continuum from physical to virtual environments. Topics of interest include:
- Case studies of collaborative extended reality systems;
- Examples of transitional interfaces in single-user or collaborative cross-reality systems;
- Characterization of the dimensions of transitional interfaces in single-user or collaborative cross-reality systems.

Submission deadline: July 05th, 2026
Notification deadline: July 17th, 2026
Camera-ready deadline: July 31st, 2026
Workshop: October 6th, 2026 (tentative depending on conference limitations)
