JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) is inviting submissions to
the Methods Collection entitled
“Interactive Technologies for Behavior Change and Emotional Engagement.”

This Methods Collection welcomes a broad range of research on
interactive technologies that respond to users’ emotions and support
behavior change and emotional engagement. In particular, we encourage
methodological contributions that enhance research reproducibility,
including experimental protocols, system development methods,
evaluation procedures, and application examples.

Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, Human-Computer
Interaction (HCI), Human-AI Interaction, Human-Agent Interaction,
Affective Computing, Persuasive Technology, Behavior Change
Technologies, Human-Robot Interaction, Educational Technology,
Healthcare Applications, Digital Agents, and XR (VR/AR/MR) systems.

JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) is a peer-reviewed
international journal that publishes experimental methods and research
protocols accompanied by professionally produced videos. It is widely
recognized and used across a broad range of scientific disciplines,
including life sciences, medicine, chemistry, and engineering. JoVE
provides a unique opportunity to present aspects of research that are
often difficult to convey in conventional papers, such as experimental
setups, system behavior, sensor placement, and the flow of user
interactions, in a clear and intuitive visual format.

For accepted papers, JoVE’s professional production team handles
high-quality video filming and editing, so authors are not required to
create the video themselves. This enables research methods to be
documented visually and systematically, making them easier to
understand, reproduce, and preserve over time. This format is
particularly valuable in fields such as HCI, Human-AI Interaction,
robotics, XR, and educational technology, where demonstrating systems
and experimental procedures is essential.

A Methods Collection is a themed collection that systematically brings
together experimental methods and research protocols related to a
specific topic. By aggregating methodological insights from
researchers in the field, it aims to promote the dissemination of best
practices and contribute to the advancement of the research community.

Researchers in related fields are warmly encouraged to submit an
abstract and to share this opportunity with colleagues who may be
interested.
