Dear CHI community,
The ASSETS’26 Technical Program Chairs are pleased to invite you to a workshop on Preparing Accessible Camera-Ready Materials for ACM Venues.
When: Thursday, July 9, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Pacific Time (PDT) / 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM UTC

* Register for Zoom: https://tinyurl.com/a11y-wkshp-26-reg
* Workshop slides: https://tinyurl.com/a11y-wkshp-26-slides
We understand this time will not work for all members of our global community. The session will be recorded, and we will disseminate a captioned video by July 15.
--- Who Should Attend & What We’ll Cover ---
This workshop will be especially useful for ASSETS 2026 authors and researchers who regularly publish in ACM venues generally.
This session will cover:
* How to produce digitally accessible camera-ready materials (e.g., .tex, .docx, .pdf) for research publication.
* When and why it is important to create accessible materials.
* What tools and resources can be used to guide your accessible material creation.
The final 30 minutes of the workshop are reserved for "office hours" style breakout rooms. Here, you can ask personalized questions about your own materials to seasoned accessible document creators. This workshop will be especially useful for ASSETS 2026 authors and any researchers who regularly publish in ACM venues.
We look forward to working with you to ensure archival research materials are digitally accessible to our entire community.
Best regards,
—
Patricia Piedade (she/her)
