Please circulate: Call for Abstracts — Human-Systems Interaction Session, IEEE Aerospace Conference 2027

Dear colleagues,

I am writing to kindly ask whether you could circulate the following call for abstracts to your community, mailing list, or relevant members.
I am co-chairing the Human-Systems Interaction session at the IEEE Aerospace Conference 2027 together with Georgia Albuquerque from the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

The conference will be held March 6–13, 2027, at the Yellowstone Conference Center in Big Sky, Montana.
Our session focuses on technologies and techniques that enhance human interaction with aerospace systems, including spacecraft, robots, ground systems, aviation systems, and operational environments.

We welcome abstracts on topics including, but not limited to:

  *   Human-Computer and Human-Machine Interfaces (HCI/HMI)
  *   Multimodal sensory integration, including vision, haptics, and audio
  *   Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality in aerospace
  *   Scientific visualization and natural user interfaces
  *   Teleoperation and real-time remote interaction
  *   AI-enhanced interaction for training, operations, and decision support
  *   Cross-domain innovations applicable to aerospace human-systems interaction
  *
We welcome both theoretical contributions and applied case studies from academia, industry, and government that advance efficient, safe, and resilient human-system integration in aerospace environments.

Key dates:

  *   Abstract submission: still open
  *   Paper submission: October 2, 2026
  *   Review results returned: November 9, 2026
  *   Final paper due: January 8, 2027
  *   Registration opens: October 1, 2026
