Invitation: "International Conference on Innovation in Rural Regions"

Dear colleagues,

I would like to cordially invite you to the first International=20
Conference on Innovation in Rural Regions (ICIRR):=20
https://icirr.wineme.wiwi.uni-siegen.de/

With the International Conference on Innovation in Rural Regions, we aim=20
to launch an academic forum for discussion on the future-oriented=20
development of rural regions. It takes place for the first time this=20
year in Siegen.

In total, we have received 34 academic submissions from the U.S.,=20
Europe, Africa, and Asia, from which the program committee will now
compile the final conference program. The spectrum of topics ranging=20
from industrial transformation to the organization of the healthcare=20
sector, mobility in rural regions, the digitization of agriculture and=20
forestry, and approaches to the circular economy and addressing climate=20
change. Four invited presentations round out the academic program.

The University of Siegen is positioned as a key research hub in this=20
field. We have, after all, developed this field into one of the=20
