Registration Now Open – Animal-Computer Interaction International Conference 2026 (ACI 2026)

Registration is now open for the 13th Animal-Computer Interaction Internati=
onal Conference (ACI 2026), which will take place 2=965 December 2026 at th=
e FHNW School of Business in Brugg-Windisch, Switzerland. ACI 2026 marks th=
e first time the conference will be held in continental Europe. Early Bird =
registration is available until 30 September 2026.

ACI is the leading international conference dedicated to Animal-Computer In=
teraction, bringing together researchers and practitioners from disciplines=
 including computer science, interaction design, engineering, animal behavi=
or and welfare science, veterinary science, ecology, sociology, philosophy,=
 and related fields. The conference promotes interdisciplinary dialogue on =
technologies that shape the lives, welfare, cognition, and social interacti=
ons of animals, while advancing animal-centered research, design, and evalu=
ation methods.

Continuing the tradition of previous editions held in Glasgow, North Caroli=
na, Newcastle, Bloomington, Milton Keynes, Haifa, and Atlanta, ACI 2026 pro=
vides a forum for discussing ethically grounded, welfare-enhancing, and inc=
lusive approaches to technology in multispecies contexts.

This year=92s conference also highlights Animal-Machine Interaction (AMI) w=
ith a dedicated Special Issue, exploring interactions between animals and a=
utonomous systems such as robots and drones, and the design of machines tha=
t support animals=92 interests and well-being.

Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. The conferenc=
