11th IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2025)
A smart city represents an improvement of today=92s cities both functionall=
y and structurally, that strategically utilizes many smart factors, such as=
 information and communications technology (ICT), to increase the city=92s =
sustainable growth and strengthen city functions, while ensuring citizens=
=92 quality of life and health. Cities can be viewed as a microcosm of =93o=
bjects=94 with which citizens interact daily: street furniture, public buil=
dings, transportation, monuments, public lighting and much more. Moreover, =
a continuous monitoring of a city=92s status occurs through sensors and pro=
cessors applied within the real-world infrastructure. The Internet of Thing=
s (IoT) concept imagines all these objects being =93smart=94, connected to =
the Internet, and able to communicate with each other and with the external=
 environment, interacting and sharing data and information. Each object in =
the IoT can be both the collector and distributor of information regarding =
mobility, energy consumption, air pollution as well as potentially offering=
 cultural and tourist information. As a consequence, cyber and real worlds =
are strongly linked in a smart city. New services can be deployed when need=
ed and evaluation mechanisms will be set up to assess the health and succes=
s of a smart city.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together innovative developments in ar=
eas related to sensors and smart cities, including but not limited to:

        =95       computing and sensing infrastructures
        =95       cost (of node, energy, development, deployment, maintenan=
ce)
        =95       communication (security, resilience, low energy)
        =95       adaptability (to environment, energy, faults)
        =95       data processing (on nodes, distributed, aggregation, disc=
overy, big data)
        =95       self-learning (pattern discovery, prediction, auto-config=
uration)
        =95       deployment (cost, error prevention, localization)
        =95       maintenance (troubleshooting, recurrent costs)
        =95       applications (both new and enjoying new life)
        =95       smart users experience
        =95       trust and privacy
        =95       crowdsourcing, crowdsensing, participatory sensing
        =95       cognition and awareness
        =95       cyber-physical systems
        =95       smart tourism


Both review articles and original research papers relating to sensors and s=
mart cities are solicited. There is particular interest for papers with adv=
ances towards practical experiences and services overcoming the adoption ba=
rriers for sensors and smart cities.

Submission Guidelines
Paper submissions should be no longer than 6 pages with a font size of 10 u=
sing the IEEE conference template (https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publish=
ing/templates.html). Papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files. =
All submitted papers will be subject to single blind peer reviews by Techni=
cal Program Committee members and other experts in the field. All presented=
 papers in the conference will be published in the proceedings of the confe=
rence and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Authors are request=
ed to first register their submissions and submit their manuscripts in PDF =
format via EDAS https://edas.info/N33052. Note that at least one author of =
each accepted paper must register and attend the workshop to present the pa=
per. Failure to present the paper at the workshop will result in the withdr=
awal of the paper from the Proceedings.

=95 Camera-ready paper submission: 18 May, 2025
