Dear colleagues,

We are conducting a systematic review examining the relationship between =
the use of AI systems (e.g., chatbots, conversational agents and large la=
nguage models) and social well-being outcomes such as loneliness, social =
connection, and related interpersonal outcomes.

To ensure comprehensive coverage of the literature, we are seeking both p=
ublished and unpublished work. This includes manuscripts under review, wo=
rking papers, preprints, theses, dissertations, or ongoing studies.

Studies may be relevant if they:

1. Examine the use of AI systems (e.g., chatbots, conversational agents, =
large language models, or similar tools), excluding clinical or therapeut=
ic chatbot interventions.
2. Measure outcomes related to social well-being (e.g., loneliness, socia=
l connection, interpersonal well-being)
3. Provide quantitative data or results that allow effect sizes to be com=
puted.

We welcome both experimental and observational studies involving human pa=
rticipants.

If you have work that may be relevant, we would greatly appreciate it if =
you could share it through the form below:

https://forms.gle/5AyeNSoTYeTgqdYEA

Please upload a file containing relevant study details, including well-be=
ing measures, sample characteristics, and all effect sizes related to soc=
ial well-being. If uploading a dataset, please include a codebook.

Null or negative findings are equally valuable for this review.

If you have any questions, please don=E2=80=99t hesitate to reach out to =
me at [email protected].

Thank you very much for helping us capture the full scope of research in =
this area.

Best regards,
Wajiha Naveed on behalf of collaborators Fernanda C. Andrade, Rick Hoyle,=
 and Chris Bail.
