EXPERIENCE DESIGNER

After 20 years on the road (in Stockholm, Sacramento, Seattle, San Mateo,
and now Sand Diego -- do you detect a pattern?), I’m moving to Santa
Monica.

I’m interested in getting a job that will enable me to build an experience
design practice based on the principles and beliefs that we on this
newsgroup share. I don’t want to bootstrap, so I’m looking for a design,
branding, or strategic marketing agency with which I can link up, and in
which I can build that practice.

With success, it might be possible to create an “experience design cluster,”
a gathering of talent and resources as has occurred in the same neighborhood
(Santa Monica and West LA) with videogame studios and interactive media
shops. It needs a seed.

If anyone is in a position to hire an experienced experience designer (as
experienced as one can be at this early stage), or wishes to create an
adjunct practice within an established agency, I’m your man. Resume
available on request. Availability for interviews through September 9,
available to begin work, October 6 or thereafter.

Thanks for your tips, leads, and offers.

 Bob Jacobson
